ADVANCED GEOMETRY WORKSPACE

Real CAD Studio

Use a browser-based OpenCascade CAD kernel for parametric solid modeling, then exchange supported CAD files with FreeCAD. Your existing Groq AI remains the engineering assistant; this workspace provides a more capable CAD modeling environment.

Mobile note: CAD engines use WebAssembly and WebGL and can be heavy on a phone. If the embedded editor does not load or feels cramped, tap Launch Cascade Studio to open it directly in a new tab. FreeCAD is a desktop application, not something this page can run natively on Android.

AI + CAD Engine Status

Checks server-side configuration and the remote CAD worker. Status is not a guarantee that every modeling operation will succeed.

NATURAL-LANGUAGE CONTROL

AI Studio Operator

Describe what you want in plain language. Choose the engineering discipline and the kind of work; Engineering Universe will route the prompt to its Groq-powered engineering assistant.

FreeCAD STEP generation requires the secured CAD worker to be deployed and configured in Vercel.

CAD control status: the page can send generated geometry to the secured CAD worker. Once that worker is deployed and configured, it can build a STEP file with FreeCAD and execute supported primitive models in a headless Cascade Studio session using OpenCascade.js. The embedded external Cascade Studio iframe is not synchronized, and no FEA/CFD or engineering validation is performed. Verify all engineering outputs independently.

Starting Cascade Studio… The CAD kernel may take a while to initialize on mobile.

01 · OpenCascade.js

The geometry kernel is the foundation for precise solid operations. Cascade Studio already uses OpenCascade technology, so this avoids loading a second, competing CAD kernel into the same page.

02 · Cascade Studio

Use parametric code to create solids, sketches, extrusions, revolutions, sweeps, booleans and fillets. The project documents STEP/STL/OBJ export and supported import workflows.

03 · FreeCAD bridge

Exchange geometry through shared CAD formats. Export STEP for solid geometry where supported, or STL for mesh/3D printing workflows; then import the file into FreeCAD for further work.

CAD file exchange

Use this quick checklist when moving a model between tools. File exchange is a practical bridge; it is not a live synchronized connection to a running FreeCAD installation.

  1. In Cascade Studio, create your model and export .STEP when available for solid CAD, or .STL for mesh workflows.
  2. Save the downloaded file on your phone or computer.
  3. Open/import that file in FreeCAD on a supported desktop environment, then continue editing or checking it.
  4. Export a supported format from FreeCAD if you need to bring a model back into another CAD tool.

Local file picker only: this page does not upload your file or claim to validate it.

No file selected.

What is connected now?

The AI can generate a scene from your prompt. The secured CAD worker routes that scene to FreeCAD for STEP export and to Cascade Studio’s documented automation API, which uses the OpenCascade.js kernel. To activate these controls, deploy the included cad-worker Docker service and set CAD_WORKER_URL and CAD_WORKER_TOKEN in Vercel. The external embedded editor is not live-synchronized; the worker runs its own browser session. The worker deployment and real-engine execution still need to be tested in your hosted environment.
