Open CASCADE / OpenCascade.js
Open CASCADE is the geometry technology; OpenCascade.js makes supported kernel features available in browser and WebAssembly applications. It is an engine/library, not a standalone full CAD desktop interface.
Explore engineering concepts, calculate real-world values, prototype mechanical shapes, and keep your design work together in one mobile-friendly workspace.
Adjust a simple parametric primitive, rotate the preview, and export an OBJ mesh. This is a lightweight concept tool—not a substitute for validated CAD or simulation software.
Units: millimetres. Export is a basic mesh approximation.
Choose a specialist assistant for your engineering discipline. Each page provides a focused workspace for engineering questions, design exploration, and research.
A unified real-time 3D workspace inspired by game engines and professional 3D tools: viewport, scene hierarchy, object transforms, materials, lighting, and AI-driven creation.
Write and edit engineering scripts, ask the AI to modify them, and send generated concept geometry to the 3D studio.
The editor uses Monaco when available and a built-in text editor fallback otherwise. The terminal accepts supported engineering commands only; it does not execute arbitrary shell commands. OpenSCAD and Python code can be edited/exported here, but they are not executed by this browser.
Quick calculators for common introductory mechanical engineering quantities. Check units, assumptions, and safety factors before using results in a real design.
Newton's second law: F = m × a
Torque = force × perpendicular radius
Average stress: σ = force / area
These calculators are educational aids. They do not check buckling, fatigue, temperature, material variability, manufacturing tolerances, or applicable codes.
Keep research briefs, model settings, and checklists saved locally in this browser. Export or back up important work regularly.
Launch the original projects from NOVA Engineering Universe. The links open the official hosted applications or project pages; where a provider blocks embedding, the studio opens separately rather than showing a broken blank panel.

Launch the original browser CAD editor with its scripting workspace, live 3D modelling, and supported CAD file import/export tools.
Open the official FreeCAD project and download the original desktop application. An experimental browser build exists, but it may have device and browser requirements and is not the official desktop release.
These launch buttons provide access to the real original software. AI control is a separate integration: Cascade Studio documents a programmatic Agent API, while OpenCascade.js can power browser CAD features. FreeCAD automation requires a configured backend or local FreeCAD installation. NOVA must send only validated, supported commands, keep API tokens server-side, and request confirmation before overwriting or exporting project files.
